Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment is hiring a Retail Sales Team Lead for our Norfolk store. You will greet customers, assist with solutions, promote our credit card program, and support daily store operations.

You’ll lead sales efforts, maintain stock, and ensure clean, organized floor presentation to deliver a hassle-free shopping experience. Typical duties include merchandising, opening/closing, mentoring team members, and promoting service plans on qualifying items.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience.
• Ability to lead, guide and mentor store employees.
• Flexible availability and weekends/holidays as needed.
• A love of tools & equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Service-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional service to best serve the needs of our customers.
• Lead customer engagement and sales efforts while actively performing the role of a sales representative.
• Maintain a neat and orderly store environment including merchandising, planograms, product displays and stocking shelves.
• Lead by example, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Support store leadership by serving as Floor Leader and opening/closing the store.
