Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment is seeking a Retail Sales Team Lead to greet customers, drive sales, maintain stock and organize the sales floor. You’ll promote the Northern Tool credit card, sell extended service plans on qualifying items, and support daily store operations.

Open availability, at least 1 year in retail, and ability to lift 70 lbs are required. You will lead by example, mentor teammates, and serve as Floor Leader about 25% of the time, with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience.
• Ability to lead, guide and mentor store employees.
• Flexible availability including some weekends and holidays.
• Love of tools & equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Service-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional service to best serve the needs of our customers.
• Lead customer engagement and sales while actively performing the role of a sales representative.
• Maintain a neat and orderly store environment including merchandising, planograms, product displays and stocking shelves.
• Lead by example, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Support store leadership by serving as Floor Leader (an average of 25% of time) and opening and closing the store.
