Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store operations leader to plan, direct, and supervise team members across departments. You will act as a mentor and coach while implementing strategies to improve customer service and store performance, ensuring quick, efficient service.

The role focuses on staffing, developing team members, maintaining store standards, and driving sales while prioritizing customer satisfaction and a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce and deli) helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to guide decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members and uphold safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members; drive customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure a positive company image with courteous, friendly service to customers and team members.
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation and adherence to company standards.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
