Job summary

Michaels in Katy, TX is hiring store team members to deliver friendly customer service, help customers find products, and ensure a fast checkout experience.

You will stock merchandise, unload trucks, manage planograms, support BOPIS and Ship From Store, and participate in store recovery, safety programs, and POS transactions.

This role requires adaptability and a positive attitude while working evenings and weekends in a climate controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
• Michaels requires all team members in this role to be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
• Work Environment includes standing for long periods, moving throughout the store, bending, lifting, and climbing ladders where required.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Maintain store recovery and merchandise presentation to ensure in-stock conditions.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; interact professionally with customers and teammates.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
