Job summary

Michaels is seeking an engaged Team Member in Katy, TX to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast checkout experience. The role involves truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining an in-stock, well-merchandised store while promoting Michaels programs and policies.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, can stand for long periods, and will participate in omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, move around, and lift items as part of a store role.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store, help locate products, and offer solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout with accurate cash handling.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and collect feedback.
• Support Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) duties.
• Maintain in-stock store condition and manage returns and go-backs as needed.
• Execute Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs and follow SOPs.
