Job summary

Meijer is seeking a capable store leader to oversee day-to-day operations across departments and coach team members to deliver exceptional service. You will mentor staff, manage staffing decisions, and guide promotions while ensuring profitability and adherence to company standards.

With a focus on friendly service, you will maintain store presentation, train employees, and drive sales during peak hours, contributing to a positive Meijer customer experience across shift schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience analyzing financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and ensure safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and identify development needs.
• Handle disciplinary actions and consider discharge when needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink.
