Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store-level leader to drive staffing, hiring, and team development while delivering superior customer service. You will lead recruitment, mentor staff, and ensure operations meet Meijer standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes training, conflict resolution, and consistent attendance to maintain a high-performing team and exceptional store performance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–3 years of related retail experience.
1 year of management experience.
Rotational assignments across store areas; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
Strong communication to provide clear direction and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

Ensure a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
Mentor and coach team members to exceed service and sales goals.
Document and apply disciplinary actions with objective recommendations.
Manage P&L, hit sales targets and control shrink for the department.
Maintain Meijer standards and promote a safe work environment.
Provide training to team members and ensure coverage for shifts.
