Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across departments, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional customer service.

You will recruit, train, and develop team members, manage scheduling, and implement strategies to improve sales and store standards during peak hours. Successful candidates have a high school diploma, 2-3 years of retail experience, and at least one year in a management role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store and customer service experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.
• Ability to mentor team members across the organization.
• Completion of required certifications.

Responsabilités

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day to day operations.
• Mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintain store appearance focusing on prime shopping hours and standards.
• Ensure staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, sales and shrink control.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
• Mentor team members to exceed goals and ensure training completion.
• Ensure the team is trained and engaged with customers and colleagues.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Promote a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
