Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Team Leader to provide exemplary leadership on the sales floor, emphasize customer service, and help keep the store well-stocked, neat, and clean for the Elder’s experience.

The Team Leader will support the Store Manager, open and close the store as needed, oversee tasks, participate in training, and ensure staff stay productive while delivering best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail supervisory experience.
• Work in a hardware/home improvement store is a big plus.
• Available to work one weekend day per week and 1–2 evenings.
• Physical requirements: standing or fast-paced walking, lifting up to 80 lbs, bending, pushing/pulling, breaking down boxes, climbing ladder. Forklift use as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary leadership on the sales floor with emphasis on customer service.
• Keeps the store staff focused on important tasks: four Duty Lists, freight, projects, and store-specific tasks.
• Ensures customers are well served and staff productive, especially when Store Manager is absent.
• Maintains at least one department at an exceptional level to set the standard for others.
• Opens and/or closes the store on a regular basis.
• Assists in training and enforces the principles of The Six E’s.
