Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store and customer service workflows.
• Clear communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Ability to analyze financial and sales information for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development for team members.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet and exceed goals.
• Ensures team is thoroughly trained and aligned with Meijer standards.
• Spends majority of time in-store engaging with customers and staff.
• Maintains a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
