Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Holyoke, MA.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. This is a part-time position with growth potential and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain inventory, payroll and cash handling records.
• Maintain store areas and fixtures; protect assets and ensure safety policies.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; foster a positive, safe environment.
