Job summary

Dollar Tree in Acton, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and help with opening and closing procedures.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem solving, with the ability to train associates, maintain clean and safe conditions, and uphold policies while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
