Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Lowell, MA location. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help organize merchandise, and supervise associates under the Store Manager’s guidance.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset, with responsibilities including opening/closing procedures, payroll-related tasks, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom; protect store assets.
