Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas and customer service experience are helpful.
• Ability to provide clear direction and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several duties simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze financial data to inform decisions and teach suggestive selling.
• Experience mentoring team members across roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach staff to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, hiring and training to meet department needs.
• Manage P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation during peak hours.
• Promote safety and Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
