Job summary

Sportsman’s Warehouse is seeking an Outfitters Team Lead to supervise shifts, coach staff, drive sales and maintain a safe, high‑quality store environment. You’ll oversee daily operations, guide team members, and ensure excellent customer service with strong product knowledge.

The role emphasizes supervising a diverse team, managing inventory, and supporting store promotions while adhering to ATF and retail policies. Experience in outdoor retail is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary resource for hourly team members; provide support, training and guidance.
• Foster a positive work environment; clarify expectations and model behavior.
• Be the go-to person on shift; escalate issues to store leadership when needed.
• Support daily store operations; ensure policy compliance and standards.
• Identify opportunities; adapt to business needs across departments.
• Assist in opening/closing procedures and store security checks.
• Supervise attendance, time management and performance; address issues promptly.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new team members; onboard culture.
• Deliver great customer service; train staff to maintain product knowledge.
• Supervise in-store events and promotional activities to boost traffic.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations including ATF controls.
