Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in our community retail location. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and help maintain stockrooms and floors to company standards.

Key duties include opening/closing procedures, staff supervision and training, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring a positive, safe environment for customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and associates
• Keep store clean and restocked, including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned*
