Job summary

Goodwill of the Great Plains is seeking a Retail Team Leader in Norfolk, NE to provide an exceptional customer experience, oversee daily store operations, and motivate a team to maintain a clean, inviting, and well organized sales floor. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.97 and a benefits package after eligibility.

The Team Leader will handle opening/closing, cash handling, and staff training to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

At least two years of prior retail sales experience, with opening/closing responsibilities preferred.
Demonstrated ability in use of cash register and affiliated duties (giving correct change, etc.).
Driver's license and proof of insurance required if frequently driving as part of job duties.

Responsibilities

Open and/or close the store, ensuring hours are met and records are accurate.
Oversee store operations in absence of manager and assistant manager; report issues.
Train and evaluate store employees and/or persons served when applicable.
May be called upon to correct EBT errors.
Count down cash drawers.
Ensure all cash, deposits, and cash drawers are secured in the safe.
Accept donated items safely and efficiently per store guidelines.
Process donated items to produce inventory for sales floor.
Follow store procedures for cashiering, customer service, merchandise handling, and upkeep.
