Job summary

Goodwill of the Great Plains in Brookings, SD seeks a Retail Team Leader to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, inviting store environment. You will lead daily operations, supervise staff in the absence of management, and ensure accurate cash handling and merchandise processing.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior retail sales experience, with opening/closing responsibilities preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use cash register and affiliated duties (giving correct change, etc.).
• Drivers License and proof of Insurance required if frequently driving as part of job duties

Responsibilities

• Opening and/or closing the store, ensuring store is open during posted hours; safe, office, and outer doors are locked upon leaving the building; paperwork is done accurately.
• Oversee store operations in absence of manager and assistant manager and report to them any issues that arise
• Train and evaluate store employees and/or persons served when applicable
• May be called upon to correct EBT errors
• Count down cash drawers
• Ensure all cash, deposits, and cash drawers are place in safe and that safe door is closed and locked
• Accept donated items in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner per store guidelines
• Process donated items to produce inventory for sales floor
• Follow store procedures for sales floor cashiering, customer service, merchandise handling, and upkeep
