Job summary

Goodwill of the Great Plains is seeking a Retail Team Leader in Norfolk, NE to provide an exceptional customer experience, oversee daily store operations, and motivate a team to maintain a clean, inviting, and well organized sales floor. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.97 and a benefits package after eligibility.

The Team Leader will handle opening/closing, cash handling, and staff training to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• At least two years of prior retail sales experience, with opening/closing responsibilities preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in use of cash register and affiliated duties (giving correct change, etc.).
• Driver's license and proof of insurance required if frequently driving as part of job duties.

Responsibilities

• Open and/or close the store, ensuring hours are met and records are accurate.
• Oversee store operations in absence of manager and assistant manager; report issues.
• Train and evaluate store employees and/or persons served when applicable.
• May be called upon to correct EBT errors.
• Count down cash drawers.
• Ensure all cash, deposits, and cash drawers are secured in the safe.
• Accept donated items safely and efficiently per store guidelines.
• Process donated items to produce inventory for sales floor.
• Follow store procedures for cashiering, customer service, merchandise handling, and upkeep.

We are seeking a Retail Team Leader to become an important part of our team! You will help provide exemplary experience and atmosphere to every Goodwill customer through outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean, inviting, and shoppable store.

Position Type: Full-Time

Wages: $16.97 hourly

• Opening and/or closing the store, ensuring store is open during the posted hours of operations; safe, office, and outer doors are locked upon leaving the building; paperwork is done accurately, etc.
