Job summary

Englefield, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading daily operations, coaching team members, and delivering excellent customer service.

You’ll gain hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment, assisting with staffing, inventory, scheduling, and maintaining a clean, safe, customer-ready store. This role is ideal for someone ready to lead, learn, and grow within our long-standing community-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in retail or food service.
• ServeSafe certification – Required or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to walk, stand, squat, lift, carry and reach; work in variable temps indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Support store operations including staffing, inventory, and shift leadership.
• Coach and train team members to deliver friendly, efficient service.
• Ensure the store stays clean, safe, and customer-ready.
• Step in to lead when the Store Manager is away; help drive performance goals and maintain compliance.
• Build relationships with customers, vendors, and your team.
