J.Crew is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team. You will drive profitability through strong customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement.

You’ll coach the sales team, provide operational support, and collaborate with the leadership group to adapt strategies for business success. Responsibilities include managing divisions (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling), recruiting and training staff, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience
• Passion for brand and customers
• Able to stay current with fashion trends and industry developments
• Teamwork, flexibility and courtesy in task execution
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays
• Able to bend, reach, lift up to 40 pounds (18 kg)

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director and Associate Store Manager to impact business results with brand connections and profitability
• Own division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling)
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed
• Collaborate to create a collaborative working environment for all associates
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class service
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost authentic customer connections
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events
• Step into various roles on the sales floor as needed
