Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Philadelphia location. You will assist with daily tasks, merchandise handling, and ensuring cleanliness and safety across the store.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, with prior store management experience preferred. This full-time position offers growth opportunities and exposure to company-wide directives and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent mobility and standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store-front displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
