Job summary

Sodexo Ltd. is seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead a busy retail operation, support the team, and ensure customers have a great experience.

You will be hands-on, organized and ready to lead by example, maintaining high standards across customer service, food safety, and compliance. In this fast-paced environment you will develop leadership skills, supervise both military and civilian staff, manage stock, cash handling and security, and promote events to engage customers and enhance the retail,

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Previous customer service experience in a supervisory role is essential.
• Experience across retail, food service and bar/leisure operations.
• Strong understanding of customer service, health and safety, food hygiene and workplace standards.
• Good leadership and people-management skills with ability to support and develop a team.
• Relevant supervisory qualification, such as an NVQ, or willingness to work towards an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day retail operation, ensuring company policies, procedures and standards are followed.
• Supervise and develop team members, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Manage stock ordering, security and cash handling in line with procedures.
• Support events and promotions to increase customer engagement and use of facilities.
• Deliver excellent customer service by responding to feedback and maintaining brand standards.
• Maintain health and safety, COSHH and Quality Control, acting as Duty Manager when required.
