Job summary

Goodwill is seeking a Store Supervisor to assist the management team in daily retail operations. Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, overseeing production and retail flow, and ensuring policies are followed.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, customer service excellence, and maintaining a safe, well-organized store environment. Prior supervisory and retail experience is preferred, with basic computer skills required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
• CA Driver’s License preferred and insurable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service to customers and donors.
• Provide leadership, guidance, training and development to staff to motivate and improve productivity.
• Maintain a positive work environment and ensure staff relations are positive.
• Assist in performance evaluations, goal setting and work schedules.
• Maintain store/department in clean, safe and organized fashion with merchandise displayed.
• Document and report concerns to management promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support organizational initiatives and process improvements.
