Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandise presentation, deposits, and loss prevention under the Store Manager's direction.

You’ll perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability while protecting assets. Prior retail supervisory experience is preferred and strong communication is essential.

Formación

• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and handle diverse situations.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling.
• Experience with cash register functions and generating reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling policies and deposits.

Responsabilidades

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees.
• Manage merchandise including receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Support planograms and proper product presentation.
• Ensure cashier accountability and cash control procedures.

Educación

High school diploma or equivalent
