Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise and deposits, and support profitability and loss prevention.

You will also assist with scheduling, training, and visual merchandising while ensuring policies and procedures are followed. This role involves stocking, cashiering, and daily store operations to serve customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership at the register and on the floor.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Support planograms and in-store merchandising per directions.
• Ensure cashier integrity, deposits, and cash control procedures.
