Dollar General is seeking a store manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations. You will recruit and train staff, manage performance, ensure safety, and maintain inventory accuracy across an active retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, cash handling, and customer service skills, with a preference for prior retail management experience. This position is on-site and involves frequent interaction with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to recruit, train, and supervise staff in compliance with laws and policies.
• Strong merchandising, inventory, and cash handling knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to laws and Company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for solutions and/or counseling, up to termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinates meetings to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures the store is staffed and opened/closed each day, with bi-weekly opening/closing cadence.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify sales trends, profitability, turn, and shrink; identifies expense control opportunities.
• Orders to meet or exceed in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory issues weekly; follows up on BSR/cycle counts.
• Facilitates staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Ensures merchandise presentation and pricing meet established standards; uses fixtures properly.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Ensures financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, and cash security practices.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, safe, organized store environment.
• Ensures the store is equipped with necessary tools to perform tasks.
• Follows company SOPs and ensures employee compliance.
