Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store operations, including staffing, training, ordering, receiving, stocking and presentation. You will lead a team to meet sales, safety and policy standards while ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring staff, conducting performance evaluations, managing inventory, cash handling, and ensuring the store opens and closes smoothly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Experience with inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits and retains qualified employees; ensures store is properly staffed.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels staff.
• Reviews ordering plans to meet in-stock targets and handles stock replenishment.
• Ensures shop floor presentation, pricing, signage and merchandising standards.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and cash control; ensures cashier accountability.
• Opens and closes the store as required and leads customer service initiatives.
