Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.

• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and termination processes.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; ensures proper staffing.
• Provides training; conducts performance evaluations; counsels as needed.
• Makes recommendations on employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events.
• Ensures store opened/closed on schedule; maintains staffing levels.
• Evaluates operating statements for sales trends, expenses, shrinkage.
• Manages ordering to meet in-stock targets; reviews weekly plans.
• Staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company processes.
• Maintains proper merchandise presentation, pricing and signage.
• Keeps accurate inventory through controls on damages and markdowns.
• Upholds cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership; maintains a clean store.
• Ensures tools and equipment are available for required tasks.
• Follows policies; completes paperwork on time.
