Ross Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily operations, coach non-exempt associates, and ensure consistent, on-brand customer experiences. You will learn all facets of store performance, from merchandising to payroll, and step in for the Store Manager when needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Fluency in English and ability to work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Leads all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and touches.
• Assists in the analysis of Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and performance.
• Communicates variances to Company standards to the Store Manager.
• Ensures proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
• Ensures compliance with State, Local and Federal regulations.
• Assists in recruiting, hiring, training and developing non-exempt Associates.
• Controls payroll hours to plan and adjust to business trends.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment and leads monthly safety meetings.
