Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help lead all aspects of store operations, including customer service, merchandising, and loss prevention.

You will supervise Associates, assist with scheduling, coaching, and training, and work with leadership to meet department goals while ensuring safety and policy compliance. Responsibilities include leading store operations, analyzing performance, ensuring scheduling accuracy, and maintaining Ross brand standards.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Associates.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Basic math calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations to meet company standards and best practices.
• Assist in analyzing store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and performance.
• Ensure proper scheduling of Associates to meet objectives.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in payroll administration and reporting as needed.
• Help recruit, train and develop non-exempt Associates.
• Lead inventory processes and ensure merchandising standards are followed.
