Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-focused store and supervise staff under the Store Manager. The role includes merchandising, deposits, and loss prevention duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to train employees, manage inventory, and adhere to company policies. It's a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to read instructions, safety rules and procedures accurately.
• Experience with cash handling and basic report generation.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate the cash register.
• Open and close the store as needed and supervise staff in absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise, stock, displays, and planograms per store standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support banking deposits and refunds.
