Job summary

Ross Dress for Less is seeking a Store Manager in Rogers, AR to lead all store operations and oversee Associates under the Store Manager. You will manage merchandising, scheduling, safety, and customer service programs while upholding company standards and loss prevention practices.

The role requires the ability to supervise, train, and develop a team, analyze store reports, and control expenses. Evening and weekend work are expected as part of retail management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Must demonstrate the ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, give direction and follow through to completion.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all non-exempt Associates.
• Responsible for the management and supervision of all areas assigned by the Store Manager and follows policies in regard to Customers, Associates and merchandising.
• Assists in recruiting, hiring, training and developing non-exempt Associates.
• Assists in the analysis of Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall Store performance.
• Ensures scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
• Maintains safety and security standards and leads monthly safety meetings.
• Monitors loss prevention and inventory processes to safeguard assets.
