Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, supervise Associates, and uphold company standards in all areas. The role requires strong leadership, customer service, and adherence to policies while the Store Manager is present.

You will analyze reports, schedule staff, manage payroll, and support merchandising, safety, and loss prevention programs to drive store performance and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, give direction and follow through to completion.
• Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
• Maintain high quality of Customer service.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise store operations to meet company standards.
• Assist in analyzing store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall store performance.
• Communicate variances to Company standards to the Store Manager.
• Ensure proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations and store safety.
