Ross Dress for Less is seeking an experienced Store/Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily operations, supervise Associates, and drive exemplary customer service. You will manage staffing, scheduling, and store standards to ensure a positive shopping experience and strong store performance.

The role requires patience, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of Store or Assistant Store Manager experience in a retail environment.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize those tasks, give direction, and follow through to completion.
  • Ability to set priorities and exercise independent judgment.
  • Maintain high quality of Customer service.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee store operations and supervise all areas as assigned by the Store Manager.
  • Analyze store reports to evaluate expenses and overall store performance.
  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing non-exempt Associates.
  • Maintain a safe environment and lead monthly safety initiatives.
  • Represent the Ross brand with a clean, well-organized store and great customer service.
