ALDI is seeking an entry-level to mid-level Assistant Store Manager in New York. You will assist the store leader with supervising day-to-day activities, drive store performance, manage schedules, and develop action plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

Starting wage is $27.50 per hour with a wage increase to $28.50 per hour in year two. The role requires strong customer service, merchandising, and compliance with company policies.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meets state/local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports.
• Identifies training opportunities to improve performance.
• Models company values and fosters teamwork.
• Monitors the community and advises on adjustments to maintain competitive position.
• Provides product feedback and opportunities for new items or discontinuations.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensures inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Maintains store cleanliness and signage.
• Manages stock levels and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Supports payroll and loss prevention goals.
• Escalates issues to leadership when needed.
