Job summary

ALDI Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in New York. The role supports day-to-day store operations, supervises staff, manages schedules, and develops action plans to boost performance.

You will identify training opportunities and help execute the company strategy while delivering excellent customer service. The position is full-time with an average of 38 hours per week and a starting wage of $27.00 per hour, with a wage increase to $28.00 in Year 2.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
• Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports
• Identify training opportunities for direct reports to improve performance
• Model company values to foster teamwork and engagement
• Monitor competitive environment and adjust as needed
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue
• Participate in interviewing store personnel
• Communicate weekly updates and major milestones
• Ensure inventory procedures and cash controls are followed
• Resolve customer concerns in the leader's absence
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage
• Assist with stock levels and merchandising to maximize sales
• Ensure product quality, freshness, and accurate signage
• Support payroll and loss prevention goals
• Supervise day-to-day team operations
• Ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities
