Job summary

The UPS Store is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run day-to-day retail operations. You will support the Store Manager in staffing, supervising, and delivering exceptional customer service while monitoring costs and preparing reports for the franchise owner.

The role requires 2–3 years of supervisory experience in retail, strong leadership, and solid computer skills. Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $45,000 with growth potential, on-site work, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of customer facing supervisory experience in a retail setting.
• Retail store operations experience.
• Strong supervisory/managerial/leadership skills.
• Excellent computer/internet/software knowledge.
• Physical ability to perform job (lifting, bending).
• Ability to motivate a team to optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• Helps with personnel management, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching associates.
• Schedules work assignments and facilitates weekly/monthly staff meetings.
• Monitors and helps maximize customer service delivery and satisfaction.
• Able to work weekends as required.
• Help develop and implement the store marketing program.
• Help manage store finances and prepare reporting.
• Manage inventory and payroll-related tasks.
• Oversee store maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and organization.

Education

High school diploma or GED

College coursework/degree preferred

P&L experience preferred

Strong supervisory/leadership skills

Excellent computer/internet/software knowledge
