Job summary

Dollar General seeks a store manager responsible for leading all store processes, staffing, and customer service. You will direct ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation to drive sales and profitability.

You will recruit, train and evaluate staff, enforce safety and policy compliance, and ensure timely opening and closing of the store while maintaining excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; retail management experience valued.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring and supervising store staff.
• Knowledge of cash handling and shrink control.
• Ability to train staff and conduct evaluations, with policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Staff the store according to labor laws and company policies.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training and conduct performance evaluations; counsel when needed.
• Open and close the store daily and manage safety and customer service.
• Monitor inventory, ordering, replenishment and merchandising to meet targets.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized store operations and signage.
