Job summary

ALDI Lakeland is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store activities, supervise staff, and drive store performance. You will manage schedules, develop operational plans, and identify training opportunities to grow the team.

The role requires at least 3 years in retail, prior management experience, and a commitment to ALDI's core values. Starting wage is $26/hour with a wage increase to $27/hour in Year 2. This is a full-time, on-site position in Lakeland, FL.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports to enhance performance.
• Models ALDI core values to foster teamwork and membership among employees.
• Monitors community competition and informs leadership of adjustments needed.
• Provides product feedback and recommends items to carry or discontinue.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensures inventory procedures, product handling, and cash controls are followed.
• Resolves store operational customer concerns in the absence of direct leadership.
• Identifies hazards and maintains safe, ergonomic store operations.
• Maintains store cleanliness and proper signage at all times.
• Maintains stock levels and orders products as needed.
• Merchandises products neatly to maximize sales.
• Ensures product quality and signage accuracy.
