You will manage staffing, training, safety and disciplinary actions while fostering a friendly, efficient shopping environment during peak hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store sections (meat, bakery, produce, deli).
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.

Responsabilités

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Provide career paths and development for team members and be involved in promotion decisions.
• Address disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team members to exceed service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure team is trained in all aspects of their jobs and completed required training.
• Spend most of the time in-store communicating with customers and team members to deliver exceptional service.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Reliable and consistent attendance required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
