Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in New Roads, LA is hiring for a Manager in Training. The role supports the Store Manager with daily operations and administrative duties, while becoming knowledgeable in each department and promoting sales and service excellence.

The Manager in Training will act as the store leader in the Store Manager’s absence, drive customer service, and help achieve store goals with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach. This is a non-exempt, hourly position in Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and operations.
• Develop action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Step in for the Store Manager during their absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and standards.
