Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training in our Operations team. This role assists the Store Manager in daily store operations and administrative duties, while gaining knowledge across product areas and departmental functions to drive store goals and promotions.

The candidate demonstrates exceptional customer service, staff guidance, and adherence to store policies, with potential to assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Is a self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Maintain quality customer service and promote merchandise and services.
