Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Spring Lake, NC is seeking a Manager in Training in our Operations department. This hourly role supports the Store Manager and learns all product areas to promote sales and customer service.

You will cover the Store Manager's responsibilities in their absence, assist with merchandising, scheduling, restocking, and store processes, and strive to create a premier customer experience that drives loyalty.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department duties and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high quality customer service as outlined in manuals.
• Perform general administrative duties and support Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service during peak periods and promote services and merchandise.
