Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking a Manager in Training in Conway, AR. The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and administrative duties while learning all department responsibilities to promote excellent customer service and drive store success.

You will assist in planning, restocking, and scheduling, ensuring profitability across departments, and stepping in as acting manager when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail setting, preferably footwear/athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to assist in managing a team and meet goals/profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with multi-tasking ability.
• Team player with a focus on outstanding customer service and selling.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Step in for Store Manager in their absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high quality customer service and adhere to policies.
