Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Carrollton, Texas is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, customer service, and merchandising initiatives. You will help manage scheduling, inventory, and promotions while promoting a superior shopping experience for every customer.

The role is non-exempt, hourly, and designed to develop leadership capabilities across departments. It provides hands-on learning and opportunities to advance within Hibbett I City Gear.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Produce and deliver extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual.
