Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training to support Store Manager in daily operations and product knowledge across departments. You will promote sales initiatives, uphold standards, and create a positive customer experience in the store.

You will step in as acting supervisor when the Store Manager is absent, guiding staff and ensuring inventory control, merchandising, and policy compliance to drive store profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, especially footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative and reliability.
• Team player with focus on customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Serve as manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as listed in manuals.
• Protect assets and financial information by maintaining internal controls.
