The State of New Hampshire seeks a Retail Store Manager I for the Claremont area to supervise daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and drive store profitability while adhering to NH Liquor Commission policies.

The role requires leadership in a retail environment, ability to manage staff, merchandising, banking deposits, and inventory, with a schedule that includes day/evening/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after high school.
• Valid driver's license.
• One year of experience in customer-facing retail or cash handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service and builds a loyal customer base.
• Acts as store manager in a small retail setting and supervises staff.
• Assists with opening/closing, merchandising, deposits, and inventory.
• Provides routine training and guidance to store employees.
• Maintains stock levels and anticipates sales needs.
• Calculates sales transactions and makes bank deposits.
• Interprets computer prints and advises the Store Manager.
• Supervises staff and can cover higher-level store managers when needed.
• Occasionally travels to other store locations.
