Job summary

New Hampshire Liquor Commission in West Lebanon, NH, is seeking a Retail Store Manager I to supervise a small outlet and ensure exceptional customer service.

You will manage daily store operations, train staff, handle cash and inventory, and work a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. Prior retail and supervisor experience is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required for occasional travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work varied hours including day, evening and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service by building a loyal customer base and enhancing NH Liquor Commission's reputation.
• Acts as a store manager in a low to moderate volume retail environment and supervises store personnel up to the Retail Salesperson III level.
• In larger stores, assists with managing daily store operations such as opening/closing, merchandising, deposits and inventory.
• Provides routine training and guidance to store employees.
• Accounts for stock and maintains inventory levels, anticipating sale items as necessary.
• Calculates sales transactions and prepares bank deposits.
• Supervises and guides staff in performance of duties and serves as Retail Salesperson when needed.
• May travel to other store locations for coverage.
