Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team is looking for a Manager in Training to develop leadership and customer service skills while gaining hands-on experience in store operations. MITs will engage in structured learning and on-the-job assignments aimed at promoting into Retail Store Management within 8–12 weeks, based on performance and opportunity.

Eligible candidates will bring 1–2 years of retail management experience and a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, and weekends,

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management or supervision experience.
• Full-time availability with a flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends.
• Strong communication and customer service skills in English and Spanish.
• Education: High school diploma or GED (GED accepted).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing store team.
• Maintain clear communication with employees and customers to drive execution.
• Learn to manage and analyze monthly P&L statements to support profitability.
• Support store operations, ensure policy compliance, and uphold training processes.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training to build a strong team.
• Lead customer service activities and resolve concerns proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising, and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn core store operations.
